Apartments in Grade II listed building in Salisbury ready to purchase and move into

Work to transform a 170-year-old Grade II listed building in the centre of Salisbury into four one-of-a-kind apartments has been completed.

Avon Villa, off Wilton Road, is based within our Chapters over-55s independent-living village.

The picturesque two-storey white-painted brick building with an iconic central tower and spire with a slate roof, which dates back to around 1850, was previously known as Avon Villa when it was purchased as part of the wider Old Manor Hospital site.

Four bespoke apartments are available to purchase, including a duplex, with all work being completed following planning approval by Wiltshire Council.

The apartments are linked by a tiled entrance hall and ornate wooden staircase, which follows the Victorian interior style of the four new homes. Avon Villa is surrounded by a number of new-build lodges and historic cottages, which have been refurbished and converted as part of the Old Manor Hospital regeneration scheme that we are currently undertaking.

Members of the public are invited to take a closer look at the Avon Villa apartments and reserve their chosen new home during the Chapters open week which takes place from Monday 13 September to Sunday 19 September. Places must be booked in advance for the event, which will enable the public to view all available homes across the Chapters community, as part of enhanced Covid-safe measures for the benefit of the homeowners, team and visitors.
