Best Pubs in Sherborne

1. The Cross Keys

Located on Cheap Street, this is one of the town’s most famous inns. Its central position in the town makes it an ideal stop to break up your day shopping and taking in Sherborne’s scenic views. The team are passionate about local and seasonal ingredients, making tasty, fresh dishes. You can also enjoy hand-picked wine, as well as a wide range of local ales and ciders. 

2. The Digby Tap

Address: Cooks Lane, Sherborne DT9 3NS

Featured in the Good Beer Guide and the Good Pub Guide, The Digby Tap offers a wide range of local and national ales. Home cooked food is available during lunchtime from Monday to Saturday, serving pub classics. Dating back to c.1700, this pub really offers the old world feel.

3. The Plume of Feathers

Address: Half Moon Street, Sherborne DT9 3LN

The Plume is a traditional Grade II listed 16th century pub in the heart of Sherborne, directly opposite the Abbey, this is the most picturesque place to enjoy a meal. The biggest difference about this pub is that they serve tapas style Italian small plates, some of the best Italian food you’ll find locally. 

4. The White Hart

Address: 2 Cheap Street, Sherborne DT9 3PX

A traditional public house, situated centrally in Sherborne, showcasing original wooden beams and flagstone floors making you feel very at home in the historic town. Whether you’re looking for a succulent Sunday roast or a quick drink in the bar, The White Hart is the place to be.
