Mayor of Salisbury sings and dances at our party to celebrate 200 homeowners in Chapters The Mayor of Salisbury enjoyed dancing at a party to celebrate the 200th homeowner moving into our Chapters over-55s community. The Mayor of Salisbury, Cllr Tom Corbin, joined the party in the homeowners’ lounge and activity room at Chapters independent-living village, off Wilton Road, to mark the landmark occasion. The homeowners enjoyed dancing together to live music from the band, Loose Change, and were joined on the dancefloor by the mayor. He also took time to speak to a host of homeowners about the activities they enjoy and their reasons for moving to an apartment, house or cottage within our retirement village. Speaking at the celebration for the 200th homeowner, the Mayor of Salisbury, Cllr Tom Corbin, said: “It was my pleasure to be invited to celebrate Chapters welcoming 200 homeowners. I was so pleased to meet some of the homeowners in the community and to be ‘dragged onto the dancefloor’ to dance with them. It was good fun.” Earlier this year, Chapters homeowners celebrated the launch of the new Nightingale Square apartment complex, which is the latest piece of the puzzle within the community. The Mayor of Salisbury took a tour of the apartments and facilities, before joining a party to celebrate the launch. Every homeowner in Chapters has access to a wide range of communal facilities including a bistro and bar, homeowners’ lounge, activity room, treatment room, library, and guest suite. It also boasts two dedicated Community Managers, Jenny and Ashleigh, who organise fun activities to enable the homeowners to socialise including wine tasting workshops, Pilates, coffee mornings, quizzes, and crafts, as well as providing practical and emotional support. Chapters offers one, two and three-bedroom purpose-built apartments and neighbouring two and three-bedroom houses and cottages with gardens. All homes are designed with accessibility and the future in mind featuring lifts to all floors, underfloor heating throughout, easy-to-use kitchens with NEFF appliances, and bathrooms with step-free showers.
