Platinum Skies makes significant donation to Sherborne Voluntary Ambulance We are proud to share that we have thrown our support behind Sherborne Voluntary Ambulance. Supporting the Sherborne Voluntary Ambulance Following the launch of our new Sherborne over-55s village earlier this year, we are backing Sherborne Voluntary Ambulance (SVA) with a significant donation which will enable the good cause to help more lonely and isolated older people. The independently-run charity, known locally as the Red Bus, provides transport for disabled and elderly people to improve their wellbeing and accessibility, while easing social isolation. We are kicking off our support for the charity by acting as the headline sponsor for the Rotary Club of Sherborne Castles’ Annual Charity Golf Day on Wednesday 6 July. The event takes place at Folke Golf Club in aid of Sherborne Voluntary Ambulance. The charity is entirely funded by donations. Dr Charlie Middle, Chairman of Sherborne Voluntary Ambulance, said: “We’re very grateful to Platinum Skies and the team and homeowners in the new Sherborne community for their overwhelming support over the coming year, starting with the Rotary Club of Sherborne Castles’ Annual Charity Golf Day. “Thanks to Platinum Skies’ tremendous support, we will be able to reach more people who are lonely and isolated to get out to friendship clubs, lunch clubs, shopping trips and other activities which bring people together to support their mental health.” Houses are available to purchase in Canon Woods Close in Sherborne Living at Platinum Skies in Sherborne Our Sherborne independent-living village has two dedicated Community Managers, Hayley and Vanessa, who organise fun activities to enable the homeowners to socialise to boost their wellbeing.
