Salisbury homeowners enjoy festive fun at Chapters’ Christmas market

Our homeowners in Salisbury got together for a host of festive fun at their own in-house Christmas market.

Scores of over-55s who live at our Chapters independent-living village off Wilton Road enjoyed music, drinks, mince pies and the opportunity to purchase a host of items including handmade crafts at the market. It was just one of a host of activities organised for them in the lead-up to Christmas.

The special event took place in our community’s onsite activity room, which is one of a host of communal areas that the homeowners can use. Chapters’ shared spaces include a bistro, bar, treatment room, and communal lounges.

Other festive events that our homeowners have enjoyed in December have included carol sing-alongs, film afternoons, coffee mornings, roast dinners in the bistro, and Christmas meals.

Each of our communities has a dedicated onsite Community Manager who helps to organise fun activities such as wine tasting workshops, cheese and wine evenings, yoga, quizzes, and crafts, as well as providing practical and emotional support to the community’s homeowners.

Jenny Abbott, Community Manager at Chapters, said: “It was such a lovely opportunity for all of our homeowners to get together for a chat, and to buy some last-minute Christmas presents for their friends and loved ones. We’ve organised a whole host of activities over the past few weeks in the lead up to Christmas Day to help our homeowners to enjoy some festive cheer and be able to celebrate this wonderful time of year together.”

Work is underway to complete the construction of the newest phase of Chapters, which is called Nightingale Square. The purpose-built apartment complex features 51 homes with balconies, parking, and an outside courtyard area.

All homes in Chapters feature underfloor heating throughout, easy-to-use kitchens with energy-saving appliances, bedrooms with generous storage space, and bathrooms with step-free showers and automatic lighting.
