Work progresses on luxury Taunton town centre over-55s apartment complex

We are pleased to share that construction work to build a new over-55s apartment complex offering views over the Quantock Hills in Taunton is just months away from completion.

We are currently building an eight-storey luxury apartment complex for people aged 55 and over in Paul Street in the town centre, which is due to be completed in September 2021. The luxury apartments at Quantock House are made affordable as part of a government-backed shared ownership scheme delivered in partnership with Homes England. It enables buyers to purchase an apartment for typically 50% of the full property value, with prices starting from £247,500.

Quantock House will feature 88 one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments accommodating light and spacious lounges, fully-fitted kitchens, and luxury bathrooms, as well as individual balconies and secure underground parking. Residents can socialise in the communal TV and residents’ lounges, dine in the bistro and have a drink in the bar area, take part in a range of classes in the activity room, as well as enjoying some time for pampering in the treatment room.

Inside the building, the team are currently working from the ground floor upwards to install the kitchens, internal doors, and light fittings into the apartments. From March, work will start in stages to take down the scaffolding from the exterior of the building. Work will then begin on the entrance and landscaped garden for the property, which will enable the homeowners to sit outside and take in their surroundings with family and friends.
