Live singer performs for Poole homeowners at summer supper club party Our homeowners in Poole town centre came together to enjoy live music at a supper club party to mark the summer months. Poole homeowners summer party The event saw around 30 people join an evening of fun entertainment at our independent-living community, which kicked off with a champagne reception, canapes and live music provided by Paul Walker. He performed a host of hits by Frank Sinatra including Come Fly With Me, You Make Me Feel So Young and Witchcraft. Homeowners were invited to ‘dress to impress’ for the party, which featured a bespoke three-course menu for them to enjoy while they chatted to their neighbours and visiting family members who were invited to be guests of the event. It also gave our homeowners the chance to reflect on the second anniversary of Esprit, which has seen people move home from across the south of England to the community in High Street North. The summer supper club party is one of a host of activities that our homeowners have participated in over the summer, with ideas and event support coming from Esprit’s homeowner social committee. The committee was set up to enable our homeowners to share their ideas for clubs and events that could be hosted in our community’s homeowners’ lounge and bistro. Recent activities have included film nights, cream teas and charity events to support the local Poole Hospital Charity, with crafting activities about to begin for a charity fundraising event. Laura Warwick, Director of Lifestyle, Wellbeing and Entertainment, said: “It was wonderful to see the smiles on the homeowner’s faces as they chatted and laughed with their neighbours. The party served as the perfect opportunity for our homeowners to let their hair down, have a sing and a dance, and have a conservation with the like-minded people who live in their community. The Esprit homeowners are a fun bunch of people and I think they’re already looking forward to the next event.” Living at Esprit in Poole Esprit is based in the centre of Poole just a two-minute walk to the shops and cafes in the Dolphin Shopping Centre, a four-minute walk to the Lighthouse, Poole’s Centre for the Arts, and a seven-minute walk to Poole Park.
