Cheddar Gorge:

A truly unique National Trust attraction, Cheddar Gorg is in Somerset and can be visited for a day out by yourself, or with a friend. The attraction is 400ft deep and three miles long and if you are an avid ghost hunter… this beauty spot gained some notoriety with Britain’s oldest human skeleton being found in 1903. The Quantock Hills

Sharing it’s name with our beautiful development in the centre of Taunton, The Hills can be seen from some of the apartments balconies. Boasting some of the most stunning views across Somerset, it was the first place in Britain to be designated an ‘Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty’. The picturesque views of the hills were notably the inspiration for some of the most famous verses in poetry’s Romantic Movement, with the likes of Wordsworth & Coleridge to pen some of their finest words about the surrounding views! The area is characterized by deep wooded valleys, open land, and rich fauna & flora which makes it ideal for people who enjoy long walks, cycle rides, and horse-riding.

Grand Pier in Weston Super Mare

Try something different and visit the seaside resort of Weston Super Mare, with a lot of family-friendly activities to enjoy whilst you are there. Best enjoyed in the warmer months of Summer, you can bring your deck chair to the beach for some British seaside fun! You can also find other attractions here such as the Helicopter Museum, Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm, and the West Somerset Railway too! If you enjoy a dip in the ocean, or just fancy a stroll down the promenade… then try Weston Super Mare for a day out!

Exmore National Park

A National Park that does not disappoint, the city of Exmore is home to one of the biggest National Parks in the country, which spread across West Somerset & North Devon. Within the beautiful landscapes of the park, you can take a trip to the Tar Steps- which are one of the oldest and longest bridges in Britain made entirely of stone!  And don’t forget to climb up to Dunkery Hill, where you will reach Dunkery Beacon- the highest point of Somerset with views across the park (and if you look closely you might see our Platinum Skies development in Taunton)!

Bath in a Day

Seen as the ‘Jewel of the South’ and one of England’s UNESCO world Heritage Sites, there is much to see in the beautiful city of Bath! Only less than an hour’s journey from Taunton, you can visit one of the famous spas, do some shopping and enjoy a drink at the rooftop bars overlooking the River Avon. Bath is known for it’s breath-taking scenery, elegant Georgian architecture and independent shops.  It’s a perfectly compact city, where you can visit most of the attractions on foot in a day, which makes it perfect for a day trip out.
